Filter data based on current user

Hi community!

I was wondering: is there a way to create dynamic segments?
What I want to do is to filter one collection with a condition that depend on the context (for instance with user that is viewing the collection).
In my specific usecase, I wish I could filter my Orders collection on the warehouse field with the current user location…

If someone have an idea it would be awesome.

Hi @anon34731316,

Yes you can. You can either:

• Use user tags feature with collection scope (This require a business plan but is free to try on development). This allow you to filter really easily the data based on the current user.
• Create a smart segments, but it cannot change depending on users. A smart segment is a segment that you handle yourself. You can do the query you want. You can find more information here: https://docs.forestadmin.com/documentation/reference-guide/segments/smart-segments#creating-a-smart-segment
