Hi All - We have a Rails (7.1) project. We utilize both PSQL and MongoDB. Mongoid is our ORM for MongoDB. I just setup a demo project and it’s only picking up our PSQL DB (ActiveRecord). Is it possible to include both our databases?
We are on the newest version of ForestAdmin and running the forest_liana
gem version 9.5
Hello,
Unfortunately, your current agent stack and version do not support creating relationships between multiple databases. If this is a critical feature for you, consider using another agent, as all agents support this type of relationship except for the Ruby agent.
Best regards,
Alban
Those agents are for other languages/frameworks, yes? We can’t switch our framework as our entire application is built on top of it…
Are there any plans to support this for Ruby?
Hi,
Unfortunately, there are no current plans to support MongoDB or multi-datasource functionality with your version of the agent. However, we do have a new Ruby agent in Beta, which already supports multi-datasource, and we can collaborate with you to develop a solution for MongoDB support.
Would you be interested in scheduling a call where we can walk you through the new agent?
If you’d like to test it, here is the link with migration steps: Ruby Agent Migration Guide.
Best regards,
Alban
yes we’d definitely be interested. We’ve tried to setup a call but the only available times were very early in the morning (4am) for us, we are in california. Do you have any times, we can meet as early as 8AM PST/5PM CET
Hey @KidA001 !
Thanks for your last reply!
I’d be happy to chat with you and one of our engineers about our new agent. Could you book a slot for next week at 8 AM PST / 5 PM CET?
