In my portfolio collection I have the user_id field, which is mandatory when creating a new portfolio. What I want to achieve is that this field once created cannot be edited. The problem is that to make the field not editable I have to enable the read-only option, but when I enable it, it doesn’t let me select the user_id when I want to create a portfolio.
Is there another way to achieve this?

Sorry for being late. You can indeed remove the ability to edit your field. You have to customise the edition form and hide the field you don’t want to be editable. You can find more documentation here.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I have been looking at the document you have attached. I would not be able to achieve the goal. I have followed the steps detailed in the document, but when I want to customize an edition form, I do not see the option to hide any of the fields. Attached is an image of the above:

You need to click on the orange icon just before the title.
Then you will find the field. At this point you should be able to order/hide them.
