Cloud database credentials update

Feature(s) impacted

I recently had an automated maintenance done on my PostgreSQL database which resulted in the database credentials being changed and I’m now unable to access my data on forest admin.

Observed behavior

When I try to login, I get the error message: " Unable to authenticate you. We can’t reach your server. Please check that your admin backend is correctly configured and running."

Expected behavior

I should be able to view and update my database credentials whenever they’re updated.

Context

  • Project name: Acumen
  • Team name: Operations
  • Environment name: Production
  • Agent (forest package) name & version: 1.9.2
  • Database type: PostgreSQL
  • Recent changes made on your end if any: Updated the database credentials

Hi @Skyjaheim2

That is indeed a strong limitation of current Forest Admin Cloud setups.

Once the server is deployed, the database credentials are indeed not upgradable, and customers are forced to create a new project.

This is in the roadmap to be fixed, but I can’t commit to a date

I created dashboards and made customizations to many tables in this project. Is it possible to have those customizations imported in a new project?
