Migrate to self hosted agent

Feature(s) impacted

Agent Hosting

Observed behavior

I cant find anywhere that I can migrate the agent to “self hosting” that is hosted by me. The only way I think you can do it at the moment is if I start a whole new project. Is that correct?

Expected behavior

Migration options like you have on project creation would be handy.

Hello @David_Martin,

Thanks for your message :raised_hands:

Indeed, you’re right, today you don’t have any other solution but create a new project in “self hosting” mode.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and we are aware of that limitation that could be frustrating.
We’ll work on something to help that situation later on.

Please let us know if we can help you along the way of creating your self hosted project!
Cheers.

@David_Martin,

There is something I would love to know: why do you want to migrate from cloud hosted to self hosted?

Thanks a lot!

Hi!

For us two reasons

  1. Security - our SQL details stay on our network.
  2. Speed - we have noticed hosting locally causes the platform to run faster

Thanks,
Dave

We’ll see how we can improve this in the future.
Meanwhile, don’t hesitate if we can help you.

Cheers!

Actually - we are trying to deploy to ECS on AWS, do you have any doco? We got it started in a container but it doesn’t seem to be detected by the admin console.

Thank you,
David

@David_Martin,

To make the forum as clear as possible (and useful for everyone), do you mind opening a new thread for this question?

Thanks a lot!

I did :slight_smile: - but since you asked here if you could help, I posed the question here too :).
