  • Environment name: Production
  • Agent (forest package) name & version: forest-express-sequelize 8.5.15
  • Database type: postgresql
  • Recent changes made on your end if any: Upgraded from v7 to v8

Are you seeing a red banner on your ForestAdmin interface? This indicates that your agent version has reached its end-of-support.

To resolve this, we recommend upgrading your agent as soon as possible. You can follow our step-by-step upgrade tutorial to complete the process.

Hi Alban,

yeah we see the red Banner but unfortunately we don’t have time atm to set up a completely new Forest instance, since from what I understand, you can’t just migrate.
So it has to wait until some time next year.

But until then I could at least upgrade to v9 of the old agent but in order to do that I need that new role setup.

Hi,
I just tried upgrade in a local dev environment and there I do get the error in one console request:

Your project is using an older version of Forest Admin roles.\nIn order to migrate, please refer to the following documentation:\nMigrate to the new role system | Developer Guide"

But as described on the page Migrate to the new role system | Developer Guide I don’t see the orange message with the “Learn more” link.

Now is that just because I’m on the dev environment? I’m afraid to deploy the update live.

It seems you’ve created a new project for your development environment. This is why you’re seeing this banner.

To resolve this, please create a development environment based on your production project. Doing so will allow you to inherit the updated role system. :pray:
