Cookie assignment to fetch requests

Hello.

Feature(s) impacted

I am using a service through Cloudflare Access on the front end of my own API.
It used to work, but in the last few days it is no longer working.

The API to retrieve data is denied by Cloudflare Access,
The API to retrieve counts is still able to retrieve values.

Observed behavior

The API to retrieve data does not have cookies set.
The API to retrieve the count have cookies set.

Expected behavior

The API to retrieve data is available.

Context

  • Team name: Operations

  • Agent (forest package) name & version: …
  • Database type: postgresql
  • Recent changes made on your end if any: …

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Toshimitsu ,

Can you tell me what your project name is and what agent name and version you are using?

Kind regards,

Florian

Hello.

We will send you the missing information.

  • Project name: payn-admin
  • Agent (forest package) name & version: forest-express-sequelize@8.5.1

Currently, Cloudflare access is disabled, so we can use the app.

Best regards.

Hey @Toshimitsu

Any way to get either a live record of the issue (With the browser inspector open?)
We had occasionally customer using cloudflare mentionning the fact that some WAF rules are trigger on some specific actions, generating 401 errors with a clear mention of cloudflare blocking either request or response.

Having a screen record, an HAR of the requests or else of the issue would help better understand what’s going on in your case.

Thanks in advance

Hello

I have enabled Cloudflare Access and checked again,
I was able to get values for both the data and count APIs.

I am sending you a screenshot of the current situation.

When the cookie was not set in the request, the notation of the initiator was vendor script.

Thank you very much.

Ok so if I get this correctly, in your last message, everything worked as expected, right?

If that’s the case, is this only related to specific collections/actions ?

Hello

I am getting the other data correctly.

When I couldn’t use it yesterday, it was a 302 redirect to the Cloudflare Access login screen, not a 401 error.

I will close this ticket.
Thank you very much.

Good to know. Don’t hesitate to open a new one if this ever happens again
