Forest Admin IP range for egress firewall rules

I would like to restrict egress traffic on my agent, which is hosted in my infrastructure, to the minimum set of IP possible. But the agent must communicate with api.forestadmin.com for authentication.

I did a DNS Lookup[1] and the IP returned in the A records have a TTL of less than a minute and I am not sure if they are dedicated to Forest Admin.

I saw a mention of Forest Admin IP allow listing[2], but this seems to only apply to Forest Cloud.

Does Forest Admin provide a dedicated IP range for that I can use in my outbound firewall rules?

Hello,

Unfortunately, it will be difficult to provide a satisfactory solution to your question.
Our current API infrastructure runs on aws eu-west-1, which means it can have any IP listed in this document https://ip-ranges.amazonaws.com/ip-ranges.json (and those would be equally available to other applications running on aws).
On top of that, if we need to move away of this infrastructure for technical reasons, you might have to update your IP outbound ruleset.
