Saving Fields Data in smart view

We have a smart view that is basically a form that is being filled out, what we’ll like to do is update the fields on the form in the smart view itself. With out having to use a smart action.

Is there any documentation around saving or updating fields within a smart view? Any help on this would be much appreciated
