Struggling with Customizing the Sidebar – Need Help

Hey guys…

I am currently working on a project using Forest Admin and I am having trouble customizing the sidebar for better navigation within my admin panel. I have been able to modify some aspects of the UI, but I am looking to make the sidebar a bit more user friendly by adding custom sections and links.

I am trying to create a few custom views that link directly to certain pages or data sets within the admin panel, but I’m not sure how to go about adding these to the sidebar or if it requires additional configurations.

I also check this: https://community.forestadmin.com/t/asking-help-on-putting-custom-actions-in-forest-administration-into-effect But I have not found any solution. Could anyone guide me about this? Has anyone here worked on similar customizations? If so, could you share how you managed to add custom items or re-arrange the sidebar elements? Any documentation or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello @vekatip971

Sorry for the late response

For now the sidebar is not as customizable as you wish, but you can hide collections or regroup them into folders (it’s a new feature we just released)

For this you can create a workspace and then reorder your sections so the workspace is the entry point of you Forest Admin

On the workspace you can add links to records, here is the documentation

And here you can find an example of workspace with link to records (the link is displayed as “More info ->” on the right side)
