I can render smart chart, but i would like to add a period selection and reload my data based on the option value, so if you’ve got any information about this…

Unfortunately, it’s not possible today. The only work around would be to create multiple dashboard views for each period you want to put your eyes on.
I’ve submitted your suggestion to the product board since it would be very useful.
